Level A is the default. It includes all the warmup/flexibility exercises and 3 exercises each from the strengthening and balance menus. Walking as well as stair climbing optional ('as instructed'). Mix and match exercises in keeping with your assessment of each patient's abilities and needs.

Flexibility/Warmup
Begin each exercise session with each of these flexibility/warmup exercises. The warmups can be performed 7 days a week, if you wish.

Strengthening
Strengthening exercises are essential for maintaining healthy bones and the muscles necessary for walking and being independent in your daily activities. You should aim to do these exercises three times a week with a rest day in between. Use light ankle weights and do 1 set of 10 repetitions (each leg) to start. Gradually work up to 2 sets of 10 repetitions before increasing the weight.

Balance Retraining
Balance is important for everyday activities. The following quick balance exercises should be done three times a week, but you are encouraged to do them as often as you can! They can be done every day.

Walking
Walking is an excellent way to enhance your general fitness. Try going for a walk on the days between your exercises. Try to increase the distance you walk and the time you spend walking.
